Our trails are very good in the hills, and bony in and out of town. One trail into town, towards Beecher Fall’s is rough. Our newest trail into town is not bad until you get to the corn field, then its bumpy. But it’s a short stretch through the corn

Monday night into Tuesday morning we experienced freezing rain and light rain. We need to give the trails 24-48 hours to refreeze and once we receive 2 to 3” of snow, the groomers will roll and we expect that with the base that we have and new snow on top, that the riding will be as good as what it was last weekend, if not better. Right now it’s just a wait and see. A crystal ball would come in very handy right about now, right? If we get the snow they are predicting for Friday we will have good riding for the weekend.
Registrations, club memberships and TMA’s can be purchased at our local Island Pond Welcome Center and their telephone number is 723.9889.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
• The SPEED LIMIT…in this LOGGING OPERATION is 20MPH- MAX SPEED
•When riding through a logging job, STAY AWAY from equipment; Cutter, loaders etc, be sure the operators can see you, stay out of their way , Usually once they complete a task they’ll let you through..be patient it’s their work area, not yours!
• Our 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT along shared roads will be enforced and you can be certain that if there is abuse or an accident the “SHARED ROAD” will likely be closed to sleds !
•SLOW signs really mean SLOW!!
•Speeds in the CONTE REFUGE ARE BEING MONITORED & RECORDED – ENFORCEMENT IS BEING INCREASED! Keep your speed at 35 MPH if you would like to be able to ride through this important and beautiful area!

We picked up another 4″ of snow during the overnight hours which was a very pleasant surprise. All of our trails are open including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife areas. All groomers were out last night, will be out again tonight and tomorrow night. Overall rating of the trails is good, to very good to excellent in the higher elevations. Please ride with caution as we continue to experience high winds and you never know what may or may not be on the trail around each corner. Please stay off all bodies of water as it is in your best interest to do so.
