The snowfall is about equal to an earlier storm that hit northern Vermont late last week. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The weekend storm of February 25th/26th has brought enough snow to open many of the trails in the north, particularly in the northeast kingdom. Sledding around Island Pond is the best of the season. Further south, snowfall is less.</p>
<p>So far there&#8217;s been a foot of snow in the island pond area,  about 5- 6 inches in the Killington area and only 2-3 in the Dover area around Mount Snow.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s extensive drifting going on due to winds in excess of 50 mph</p>
<p>Clearly, the best sledding is in the north. More snow is expected Saturday before the storm moves out. Come and get it while you can!</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Sad to say that only an inch or two fell overnight on February 16th-17th and trails are not in good shape. There is about one foot of snow in the woods in the Northeast Kingdom but with the warmer temps it is starting to melt. Anything heavily travelled quickly becomes bare! Some people have been riding their machines on the lakes, such as Lake Memphremagog and Island Pond</p>
